Biography

Alexander Zharskiy is a partner at ALRUD law firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures projects and financing. He is also servicing clients on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial work.

Alexander Zharskiy joined ALRUD in 2004 and has been a partner since 2007. Prior to joining ALRUD he worked as a senior associate in other law firm in Moscow.

His speaking and publication activities include major Russian and foreign conferences and seminars and contributions to legal periodicals in various areas of corporate law, and other spheres of his interest.

Alexander Zharskiy is a member of the FAS Expert Council on protection of competition in the financial services market.

Mr. Zharskiy graduated from Belarusian State University, Minsk, Department of Law (1993-1998); after conducting post-graduate research in 2001 he earned his candidatskaja in juridical science (equivalent of SJD). He has got LL.M. degree with Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences in 1999, validated by the University of Manchester (UK). Alexander Zharskiy participated in a post-graduate course in International Trade and Business Law at T.M.C. Asser Institute, Asser College Europe, the Netherlands, in 2000. In 2007 he has been on a six months secondment in one of the “magic circle” law firms in London. He is fluent in Russian, Belarusian and English.
