22 February 2012 ALRUD corporate and M&A team, headed by the Partner Alexander Zharskiy, supported acquisition of 75% share in the Russian company “Rusmolko” (LLC “Russkaya molochnaya companiya”) by one of the global agricultural market leaders, the Singapore company Olam International Ltd.

The parties intend to invest up to $400 mln. as the first stage (to be implemented by 2015) of the large-scale Russian dairy farming and crop raising industry development programme. The second stage, planned for the following 3-4 years, involves doubling the production volume. The project will result in “Rusmolko” being the biggest milk producer in Russia, entering the World top 10 of private milk producers and establishing itself as one of the crop raising leaders.

Olam International procures production and supply of 20 types of agricultural goods for over 11.6 thousand of companies in 65 geographical markets.

“Rusmolko” was founded in 2007 and comprises nine dairy farms in Penza region.
