Kira Egorova is an Of Counsel in the Private Clients Practice at ALRUD Law Firm.

Kira advises private clients, families with dynastic wealth, family offices, professionals of the financial industry, fund managers, private foundations and others. Kira has extensive experience in advising high-net-worth Russian individuals on development of ownership and succession structures for diversified private and business assets, located in different jurisdictions. She also counsels clients in connection with a significant number of projects involving purchase of luxury items and other property. Kira has an extensive expertise in tax compliance, personal taxation and currency control issues with cross border ties.

Kira graduated from Moscow State University. In 2003, she joined ALRUD and since that time has played the leading role in the establishment and development of its Private Clients Practice. Today, ALRUD’s Private Clients Practice is positioned in the higher tiers of international legal ratings and is extremely well regarded in the service professional market for UHNW clients.

Kira is a regular contributor to international publications, including The Private Wealth & Private Client Review, The Art Collecting Legal Handbook, International Family Offices Journal, Forbes Russia as well as publications in the STEP magazine. Also, she is a frequent speaker at international and domestic events, on different issues within her areas of Private Clients Practice.

our team elaborated a complex strategy of wealth management that considered the clients’ family and business situation. The client and his spouse jointly owned a wide network of business assets in Russia, as well as significant personal property. As a result, the client received a profile with a detailed analysis of the documents confirming property title, description of potential risks, and instruments of their mitigation, in the course of family and estate planning.

the team helped the client to establish his paternity in relation to the child in court, obtain a birth certificate with a blank in the section 'mother' (which is not directly stipulated by the Russian law), stop pre-investigation checks, and to release the child from the institution for children, where it had been deprived of parental care.

Experts from the Private Clients and Tax practices prepared the Russian chapter for the Thomson Reuters Practical Law Private Client Global Guide. This overview covers the current status of key legal issues that are of concern to high-net-worth individuals: individual tax reporting; currency control issues; family and inheritance law; the ownership and inheritance of Russian and foreign real estate; trusts and other estate planning instruments; and the creation and financial support of charitable organizations. The overview was compiled by Senior Partner Maxim Alekseyev, Counsel Kira Egorova, Counsel Elena Novikova, Consultant Elena Skoptsova, and Associates Maria Petrova and Sofia Imamutdinova. On July 22, 2021, international ranking agency Chambers & Partners published the results of Chambers High Net Worth research. The rating evaluates law firms and private lawyers in the Private Clients area. ALRUD’s Private Clients practice has been at the top of the rating for six years in a row and is again recommended in Band 1. Individual nominations in High Net Worth: Maxim Alekseev, Senior Partner and Head of the Private Clients Practice, remains in Band 1 as «brilliant lawyer».
