Margarita Egiazarova Speaks at AEB Event

On 19 June 2025, the Labour Law Subcommittee of the Association of European Businesses (AEB) held an open webinar titled «Current Business Risks and Motivation».

The speakers discussed key challenges facing businesses in the current landscape, with a particular focus on the protection of trade secrets and personal data amid the tightening of liability for data breaches starting in 2025.

Margarita Egiazarova, Partner and Head of the Labour Law Practice at ALRUD, delivered a presentation titled «Trade Secrets Under Pressure: How Businesses Can Ensure Protection Amid Changing Judicial and Regulatory Approaches».

In her presentation, Margarita outlined the legislative framework for trade secrets, shared practical insights on implementing and maintaining effective confidentiality regimes, and addressed employment-related consequences for breaches, including dismissal for disclosure of confidential information. She also highlighted real-life case studies and offered practical recommendations on how companies should respond in the event of a trade secret violation.
